Erika has been working in the social work field for 17 years, with 14 years experience providing therapy services. Early experiences included providing therapy services to children, adolescents, and their families in home-based, residential, and outpatient settings. Erika has provided therapy services in hospital settings, working with the adult and geriatric population as well as an EAP Counselor. Most recently, while working in a leadership role, Erika developed a passion for helping expectant mothers with the difficult decisions and diverse experiences shared during motherhood. Erika enjoys helping others experiencing grief,loss, and trauma including perinatal loss. While using a strengths-based framework, an eclectic approach is utilized based on each individual’s unique needs. Erika is trained in Functional Family Therapy, trauma-informed care, and is a CCTP (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional).
Erika is grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of each individual’s story and life journey. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends on the farm, outdoor activities, sunrises, sunsets, and life’s simple pleasures. Erika is licensed to practice in the state of Ohio and Indiana.
