Meet Emilia

Emilia Elizabeth Donald is a master's-level Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern. She earned her bachelor's degree in Criminal Psychology and brings over 20 years of experience serving individuals and families through military service, veteran healthcare, child welfare, education, and leadership roles.

Emilia Elizabeth proudly served in the United States Army for ten years, completing three wartime deployments. Her military experience, combined with her work at the Veterans Administration and in child protective services, has given her a deep appreciation for the resilience of individuals facing trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and chronic stress. As a military veteran and military spouse, she understands the unique strengths and challenges experienced by service members, veterans, and their families. She is passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences without fear of judgment. While she enjoys working with individuals from all walks of life, she has a special interest in serving veterans, military families, first responders, and those navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She believes that the counseling relationship is built on trust, authenticity, and compassion. She takes a client-centered, trauma-informed approach, recognizing that every person's story is unique. She strives to empower clients to discover their strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and achieve meaningful, lasting growth.

Outside of the counseling office, Emilia Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband, reading, traveling, continuing her professional development, and serving others through her work and community. Following the completion of her master's degree, she plans to pursue a Ph.D. to further advance her knowledge, clinical expertise, and commitment to providing exceptional care to those she serves.
